In “The Heavyweight” (kabel eins) a teacher gets into the ring for his students. In “Yesterday we were still children” (ZDF) three children have to deal with the murder of their mother. The “Taunus thriller” (3sat) begins with a corpse found in a zoo.

8:15 p.m., kabel eins, the heavyweight, comedy

Ex-wrestler Scott Voss (Kevin James) teaches unmotivated biology at a high school. When funds for voluntary activities such as the music program are to be cut, the phlegmatic drummer comes to life again. In order to save the job of music teacher Marty (Henry Winkler), he takes part in brutal mixed martial arts matches – and blossoms from a chubby laugh to a well-paid grenade in the ring.

8:15 p.m., ZDF, yesterday we were still children (2), family drama

Yesterday Vivi (Julia Beautx) was just a normal teenager, today she is visiting her father (Torben Liebrecht), who murdered her own mother, in prison. She needs help in the custody battle for her siblings. In the past, viewers witness Peter and Anna’s (Maria Simon) early years of marriage. Peter, marked by his secret, tries to lead an orderly family life as a prospective lawyer – due to lack of money under the roof of his hated father Hans (Ulrich Tukur).

8:15 p.m., the first, in all friendship: Now sing and be happy, hospital series

The Sachsenklinik has never celebrated Christmas like this: contemplative and happy sounds everywhere! Doctors and nursing staff are preparing for the holidays. Soprano Liane Rosen (Patricia Meeden) and pianist Tristan Vogt (Daniel Fritz) plan to perform Christmas carols. Before the performance in the evening, Tristan was plagued by severe stomach and abdominal pain. Liane takes him to the Sachsenklinik, where Dr. Rolf Kaminski (Udo Schenk) diagnosed acute renal colic. A kidney stone has wedged itself in the ureter, so Tristan has to have an operation the next day.

8:15 p.m., 3Sat, A Taunus thriller: murder friends, thriller

A human hand is found in the Opel Zoo in Kronberg. More body parts appear until the rest of the body is found. Pia Kirchhoff (Felicitas Woll) and Oliver von Bodenstein (Tim Bergmann) investigate. The victim is the nature conservation high school teacher Hans-Ulrich Pauly, who was in a clinch with a whole series of people. His former good friends and fellow students, entrepreneur Carsten Bock (Thomas Huber) and delicatessen caterer Franz-Josef Conradi (Michael Brandner) also have a motive. They all share a fateful night in 1989, when Conradi’s sister-in-law died.

8:15 p.m., ZDFneo, full of nuts, comedy

Peter LaFleur (Vince Vaughn) runs the run-down gym “Average Joe’s”. One day, a studio belonging to the successful fitness chain “Globo Gym” will open next door. The trouble is inevitable. White Goodman (Ben Stiller), operator of the “Globo Gym”, tries to steal his studio from LaFleur. Financially strapped LaFleur has an idea. In order to get the necessary money, he wants to clear the prize money with his fellow campaigners at a big dodgeball tournament.
