After his wife Anara’s (Marlene Tanczik) serious car accident, Max (Klaus Steinbacher) searches for answers behind the glossy facades of Frankfurt and gets caught in a downward spiral of intrigue. Anara is comatose but alive. The police suspect that her car was tampered with. Max suspects his colleague Patrick (Marcus Mittermeier) of being involved. The team successfully pitches their software to a powerful sheikh. The attempted murder could also have been aimed at Max, and he is chased away by a threatening stranger.

8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Charles and Kate – Crisis in the Palace, documentary

After the Queen’s death in September 2022, the British monarchy wanted to modernize and slim down. Now two of the central figures are suffering from cancer: King Charles III. and his daughter-in-law Princess Kate. Other members of the royal family have to step in and take on tasks. These are challenging times for the British royal family. Because: “It is crucial for the success of the monarchy to be visible,” explains the former head of communications for the late Queen Elizabeth II. This is probably one of the reasons why King Charles III tries to maintain contact with the population via social networks. But how much transparency does there have to be in the age of social media, and how much privacy does the king and princess have?

In this episode, the youngest female founder in the history of “The Lions’ Den” dares to go in front of investors. At just 16 years old, Valeria Weingardt presents her toothbrush cover made of birch bark. This has antibacterial properties and is therefore considered a sustainable plastic alternative. Lioness Tijen Onaran is enthusiastic about the young founder’s business acumen. Is the product also convincing?

8:15 p.m., kabel eins, The Hunger Games – The Hunger Games, future thriller

The “Hunger Games” are held every year in Panem. They are intended to remind the poor population of the brutal suppression of an uprising by the rich capital, the Capitol. This year, the candidates for the deadly hunt, for which each district of Panem must provide two children, also include Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). They fight for their lives – and in the process set something unexpected in motion.

10:15 p.m., ZDF, SAS – Alarm in the Eurotunnel, action film

A paramilitary mercenary force stops and hijacks a Eurostream train – in the middle of the English Channel. But they did their math without SAS agent Tom Buckingham (Sam Heughan). Tom is a counterterrorism specialist. He wants to take a short trip to Paris with his fiancée Sophie (Hannah John-Kamen) and happens to be on board. He is now trying to stop the kidnappers using all means possible.
