Marie Gabler (Katharina Wackernagel) stayed in Hengasch involuntarily and first has to come to terms with the fact that the house blessing in the police station is hanging wrong. Colleague Fuß (Sebastian Schwarz), who would have liked to be head of the department, creates a tense atmosphere and junior police officer Jenny Dickel (Eva Bühnen) bravely tries to de-escalate. Marie also wants to move out of her chalet, but the Hengashers don’t bother to accommodate the commissioner, who is still a stranger. When Mrs. Runkelbach (Friederike Frerichs) finally shows her the apartment of an unpleasant tenant, the man is dead in the bathtub.

Joko and Klaas compete in a direct competition against their broadcaster to prove themselves against the entire ProSieben network. The broadcaster determines the opponents and the challenges. If Joko and Klaas win, they will receive 15 minutes of live broadcast time to create their own content. If they lose, they have to submit to ProSieben’s requirements.

A fisherman finds a body in the Wadden Sea. At the same time, biological warfare agents are leaked to a newspaper editorial team. The situation comes to a head when there is a risk of drinking water being poisoned in East Frisia. Inspector Ann Kathrin Klaasen (Picco von Groote) begins the investigation and recognizes a possible connection between the events. As a result, Ubbo Heide (Kai Maertens), her former superior, becomes the focus of the investigation, although his role still has to be clarified.
