In “Under Other Circumstances” (ZDF) Inspector Winter is looking for a missing boy. The May family receives messages from the afterlife in “Message from Mama” (Sat.1). On ProSieben, reporter Eddie Brock merges with an alien into “Venom”.

When eight-year-old Jimmy Russ disappears from a holiday village on a cold autumn evening, the investigators are puzzled. There is no lead, no clue, no motive. But the suspicion that it could be an accident, that the boy had drowned in the sea, fizzled out when Jana (Natalia Wörner) found the family dog that had been strangled. Now they are certain: Jimmy was the victim of a crime. Only: where should you look?

The May family lives the completely normal madness between stress at work, teenage problems and a dominant mother-in-law. Only mother Elli (Jessica Ginkel) seems to keep track of everything – if there wasn’t a catch: Elli died four months ago. With countless messages, she is still present in family life even after her death. Elli has already planned the 13th birthday of daughter Lisa (Mathilda Smidt) meticulously: her husband only has to follow the video instructions.

The journalist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) gets behind the dark machinations of the unscrupulous researcher Dr. Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed). He plans irresponsible experiments to connect humans with an alien life form. But the symbiotes pursue their own destructive goals. When Brock merges with the alien Venom, the two realize one thing: they must stop Drake.
