In “When the fifth little light burns” (Das Erste) several people are stuck at the airport on Christmas Eve. Scarlett Johansson hunts criminals as a cyborg in “Ghost in the Shell” (ProSieben). Later Otto Waalkes invites you to an Advent show with many celebrities (Das Erste).
8:15 p.m., The First, When the Fifth Light Burns, Comedy
The job of airport Santa Claus Thorsten (Henning Baum) usually ends before the presents are given. This time, however, force majeure thwarted his plans: a snowstorm and the closure of the feeder road ensure that nobody can get out of the terminal on Christmas Eve. Thorsten and his Christkind colleague (Xenia Tiling) now have to ensure contemplation among those trapped. Not an easy undertaking!
8:15 p.m., ZDF, Die Bossin: Der Wolf, crime series
Wolf Marquardt (Hanns Zischler) has barely returned from London after recovering from an unsightly allegation of rape when he meets with the then victim Lina H. Shortly afterwards, Lina is found dead. Late revenge? With Vera Lanz (Katharina Böhm), Marquardt pretends that he wanted to apologize for his alleged affair from back then.
8:15 p.m., ProSieben, Ghost in the Shell, sci-fi action
Major Mira Killian (Scarlett Johansson) was transformed into a cyborg with superhuman abilities after an accident and is now used as an all-purpose weapon in the fight against evil. Her current assignment is to hunt down the unscrupulous cyber terrorist Kuze (Michael Pitt), who hacked into people’s minds. However, it soon becomes clear to Major that the scientists who created it actually stole their lives.
8:15 p.m., RTLzwei, Killer’s Bodyguard, action comedy
Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) is the world’s best security agent and is hired to protect the hit man Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson), with whom he has had more than one professional deal. Kincaid is set to testify in an international court of law against the criminal Eastern European dictator Vladislav Dukhovich (Gary Oldman). But to do this, he has to get there on time and unharmed, which Dukhovich naturally wants to prevent.
10:15 p.m., Das Erste, Otto Fröhliche – Advent, Advents with Otto and Friends, show
With his new Advent show, Otto is embarking on Christmassy terrain. He slips into the role of the host, who is busy with various preparations for the party – and suddenly the doorbell rings. One surprise guest after the other comes by to share with him new Christmas stories, songs and many of his sketch classics, all of which get in the mood for Christmas. Guests include Florian Silbereisen, Tahnee, Bülent Ceylan, Judith Rakers and Oliver Pocher.
