Prime Video: a new offer is unveiled for the broadcast of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches

If Amazon Prime Video has been broadcasting a large part of Ligue 1 football matches since last year, we will also have to rely on Ligue 2 in multiplex, all at no additional cost and with a new annual offer.

In view of the next French professional football season, Amazon has just unveiled its new strategy for broadcasting matches for the 2022-2023 period. Broadly speaking, nothing really moves in terms of broadcasting rights, Prime Vidéo being the broadcaster of 80% of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches, i.e. a total of nearly 600 matches for this season, Canal + and beIN Sport are still taking care of the remaining matches.

The big news comes from the fact that the Ligue 2 multiplex will now be exclusive to Prime Video, previously reserved for the L’Equipe 21 channel. It will be broadcast at the same time as last season, namely every Saturday from 7 p.m. . In addition to the matches, the program “Sunday evening football” will always be accessible without subscription.

A new annual offer at less than 100 euros

In addition to the offer called The Ligue 1 pass at 12.99 euros per month without commitment, Amazon will offer an annual rate set at 99 euros per year for all L1 and L2 matches held by Amazon, everything will be available in this form from July 11.

A promotional offer is also activated until August 28 to lower the price of the subscription to 89 euros. Note that you will still need to have a subscription to Amazon Prime beforehand to be able to subscribe to the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 Pass, the latter still being set at 49 euros per year or 5.99 euros per month with a first month free.

It should also be remembered that Amazon had suspended subscriptions to the Ligue 1 Pass during the summer break and that the resumption of the season will take place for Ligue 2 on July 30. The Champions Trophy match between PSG and Nantes will also be broadcast on Prime Video on July 31 at 9 p.m.
