The prestigious Wimbledon tournament always attracts numerous royals and stars from all areas to London. Prince Albert II (65) also came to enjoy tennis in the stands. However, he did not attend the tournament with his wife Charlene of Monaco (45), to whom he has been married since 2011.

Albert II actually had a professional companion: he had Mélanie-Antoinette Costello de Massy (38) at his side. The daughter of Albert’s cousin, Elizabeth-Ann de Massy (1947-2020), was proclaimed President of the Monegasque Tennis Federation after the death of her mother.

It has not been unusual lately for Prince Albert II and Charlène to appear without a partner at public events. In June, for example, she attended the 62nd Monte Carlo TV Festival without her husband. A short time before, Albert II attended the award ceremony of the educational competition “Oceano pour Tous” at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco alone. Also a concert for the 100th birthday of Prince Rainier III. (1923-2005) he attended without his wife. She, on the other hand, showed up at the Water Safety Days in Corsica.

On St. John’s Eve, the Monegasque princely family presented itself on the balcony of the palace in Monte Carlo but closed. Albert II and Charlène waved to the people together with their twins Jacques and Gabriella (8).

Stars and royals conquer Wimbledon

Wimbledon is currently showing the who’s who of sports and entertainment – and the royals are also visiting. Queen Camilla (75), Princess Kate (41) and her brother James Middleton (36) with his pregnant wife Alizee Thevenet presented themselves, as did Hollywood star Orlando Bloom (46) with his partner Katy Perry (38), model Cara Delevingne (30), football star David Beckham (48), singer Cliff Richard (82) or Netflix celebrities like Phoebe Dynevor (28) and Emma Corrin (27).
