Prince Albert of Monaco appeared in front of the cameras at the film festival “23rd Rencontres Internationales du Cinéma des Antipodes” in Saint-Tropez to celebrate the premiere of his new documentary “Alick and Albert”. But the sight of the Monegasque regent raised questions.

Prince Albert, 63, proudly attended the “23rd Rencontres Internationales du Cinéma des Antipodes” on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 with a big smile on his face. There the documentary “Alick and Albert”, which the husband of Princess Charlène, 43, produced together with the artist Alick Tipotis, premiered.

Prince Albert appeared in a classic blue suit with a matching tie – but the eyes of the guests fell more on the Prince’s face.

Prince Albert appears with a scratch and a three-day beard

Because the 63-year-old obviously had a scratch on his forehead. In addition, the twin father wore a three-day beard. Did his look have something to do with his wife’s absence? After all, Princess Charlène has been in South Africa for several months and Prince Albert alone with the children Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, both 6, in Monaco. Perhaps the small wound on his head came about while romping around with his kids? Albert himself did not comment on the minimal injury to his forehead, but thoroughly enjoyed the great evening of his film.

Fürst Albert’s documentary celebrates its premiere

The documentary “Alick and Albert” deals with climate change and the urgency of protecting the oceans. Alick Tipotis and Prince Albert met in 2016 at an exhibition by the artist. Already there Tipotis issued an oral invitation to the monarch: “One day you may be able to visit my island.” An offer that the 63-year-old didn’t turn down. The documentary recorded Albert’s trip to the island of Badu in Australia and tells the stories of the Badulgal, the islanders, and the Monegasque – two different peoples with the same problem of climate change.
