As Prince Andrew’s lawyers try to avoid him a trial, his accuser has hit back. Virginia Roberts asks Elizabeth II’s son to prove he can’t sweat.
What if Prince Andrew’s sweat glands contained the key? Last August, Virginia Roberts filed a rape and sexual assault complaint against the son of Elizabeth II, to whom she was allegedly “loaned” when she was drawn into the vast sex trafficking of Jeffrey Epstein. For months now, the Duke of York’s lawyers have been doing all they can to avoid their client being sued. And if things turn out badly for Prince Andrew, his accuser has once again struck back. Virginia Roberts wants him to provide the justice with medical proof … that he can not sweat. If the information can give rise to a smile, it nevertheless represents a capital point. “It was horrible, and this guy was sweating all over me. It was like it was raining, I was disgusted.”, she confided to the BBC, referring to their meeting in 2001.
In response, Prince Andrew had claimed to suffer from a medical problem that prevented him from sweating. “It’s impossible because since the Falklands War and an adrenaline overdose when I was shot, I have suffered from a medical condition that prevents me from sweating. It is only recently that I sweating again “, let go of the duke during his disaster interview given to the BBC. An explanation that did not convince Virginia Roberts at all. His lawyers therefore asked “all documents concerning his presumed state of health of anhidrosis, hypohidrosis or his inability to sweat”. A request to which Prince Andrew’s advice does not seem willing to respond, because it would be “harassment” from his accuser.
Prince Andrew: the last game of poker from his lawyers
“The defendant opposes this request on the grounds that it concerns harassment and confidential and private information and documents which are not relevant”, said the American lawyer for the son of Queen Elizabeth II. He added that‘”none of these documents exist in his possession, custody or control” and that a “diligent research as well as a reasonable investigation has been carried out for the purpose of complying with this request”. Prince Andrew’s lawyers are now trying poker shots to avoid him a trial, after the verdict of that of Ghislaine Maxwell, found guilty of sex trafficking. The counsels of Her Majesty’s son notably contest the right of the accuser to lodge a complaint in the United States because she lives in Australia. A judge will have to examine this request in the coming months.
