A judge has ruled that Prince Andrew will be given access to an old document intended to make the lawsuit against him inadmissible.

Does this document make the decisive difference? Prince Andrew, 61, is given access to a previously under lock and key document that, according to his lawyers, will help him in the Virginia Giuffre (38) lawsuit. That has according to the BBC a US judge ruled last Wednesday (October 6th).

Giuffre had filed a civil lawsuit against the Royal in the United States. Prince Andrew allegedly sexually abused her as a minor on the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019). Andrew denies the allegations.

The 2009 document is said to be an out-of-court agreement signed by the plaintiff, alleged to have absolved Andrew and others involved of all legal liability. The agreement between Virginia Giuffre and Jeffrey Epstein is designed to make the lawsuit against the Royal inadmissible.

Is the document “irrelevant”?

Giuffres attorney David Boies spoke out in favor of the disclosure at a hearing last month. In Prince Andrew’s case, the document is “irrelevant”, but his lawyers have “the right to review the agreement and make any arguments they deem appropriate”.

The royal legal team had initially tried to delay the proceedings on the grounds, among other things, that the complaint was not properly served. However, the lawsuit was eventually accepted. Giuffre is demanding compensation, the amount is not known. According to British media reports, speculation is over a million.
