Prince Carl Philip: Arm surgery after injury

However, the palace later explained to the Swedish newspaper “Svensk Damtidning”what happened: “Prince Carl Philip had an unfortunate fall during a family activity last week and injured his arm,” it said officially.

In all likelihood, Princess Sofia and their three sons Prince Alexander (7), Prince Gabriel (6) and little Julian (2) were also present during the accident. The injury must also have occurred after October 19th, because Prince Carl Philip was still uninjured at an awards ceremony for Chef of the Year on that date.

Meanwhile, the Swedish Royal Palace also tersely confirmed that Carl Philip required surgery on his injured right arm. “It is true that the prince underwent a minor operation in hospital after falling during an outing with his family,” said Margareta Thorgren, the court’s information director. opposite “Svensk Damtidning”.

Blessing in disguise

Despite these unpleasant events, Prince Carl Philip can still count himself a little lucky: as a left-handed person, the injury to his right arm should have relatively little impact on him.
