The US embassy is said to have tried several times to inform Prince Harry about the death of his grandfather.

As the grandson of Prince Philip (1921-2021), Prince Harry (36) was one of the first people to be informed about the death of the Prince Consort in April of this year. At least that’s what it was intended to do. But as the US side “TMZ” claims to have found out, Harry is said to have missed several calls from the US embassy at 3 a.m., California time. Unsurprisingly, the prince and his Meghan (39) were probably asleep in bed at this hour and / or had the cell phone set to silent.

When the representative of the embassy called again unsuccessfully, he finally turned on the Santa Barbara police with the request to drive to the property of the two in Montecito and to convey the sad news personally to Prince Harry. Harry was also asked to report to the embassy afterwards. It should therefore be avoided at all costs that the Royal only learns of his grandfather’s death from the media. The Queen’s husband (95) died on April 9 at the age of 99.
