Netflix has released the first trailer for the documentation of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan – 5 insights result from it.

“No one sees what goes on behind closed doors,” says Prince Harry, 38, right at the beginning of the first trailer for the Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan,” which released December 1. On December 8, 2022, the TV hammer will be released by the streaming giant, in which Royal fans will soon be able to see, thanks to Harry and Duchess Meghan, 41, what exactly was and is going on behind said closed doors.

5 insights from the “Harry & Meghan” trailer

It’s almost 60 seconds in which we get a glimpse into the glamorous world of the Sussexes. A look through the keyhole that promises a highly emotional documentary. There is laughter, crying and sharp shots against the royal family. We’ll soon find out how hot it is. But already from the short trailer there are five theses that the clip should teach us.

1. Good timing is everything

The date of publication could hardly have been chosen more cleverly and is on many levels a tip against Prince William, 40, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 40. The two are currently on their three-day trip to the USA and probably also wanted the image of the Polishing up the royal family across the pond, but with the release of the first “Harry & Meghan” trailer, William and Kate’s visit to America has receded into the background. Who now innocently asks: “How could Netflix, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have guessed that William and Kate are on a trip to the USA these days?” That said, the trip was announced half a year ago, as the two will attend the “Earthshot” award ceremony on December 2, 2022.

2. Very authentic private shots of a very normal couple

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan show up privately in the trailer like never before. Many previously unseen photos are shared in which the Sussexes were photographed in intimate moments, or even took a selfie themselves. It becomes clear: the two are deeply in love in the photos, human and want to show themselves very close, for example by taking us into their kitchen in their old home Frogmore Cottage in Great Britain. Sure, the shots are beautiful and are meant to show the two of them authentically, but how authentic is it when a photographer stages them as if they were Mr. and Mrs. President?! And if the two didn’t have a professional by their side and pressed the self-timer, you inevitably ask yourself: How authentic can this moment have been?

3. Kate is the Wicked Witch

The trailer should have made the Prince and Princess of Wales gasp, as it is very clear that the two are also being shot at. From the myriad of images that could have been used of the former Fab Four, the photo was chosen where the faces of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan couldn’t have been more sinister. The picture was taken at the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey on March 11, 2019 in London, England and the main focus is on the Princess of Wales with her cold and bitter expression on her face. Duchess Meghan has spoken out against her sister-in-law in the past and revealed in the Oprah interview that Kate even made her cry shortly before her wedding to Prince Harry. What else will be revealed about Britain’s future Queen?! The trailer promises at least a lot.

4. Prince Harry can play the guitar

Prince Harry sits on the lawn absent-mindedly plucking the strings to play his sweetheart a song. The former “Suits” actress smiles at him. They are scenes of a normal couple enjoying the time together. Here, Meghan and Harry show us their carefree private side, which they can live out away from the evil photographers.

5. The press is evil

Speaking of evil photographers, the trailer also shows how a newspaper goes to press and how Harry and Meghan are photographed by photographers with XXXXXXL lenses. The message is clear: the Sussexes no longer have privacy, and the press is constantly invading it to capture and sell every tiny moment between the two. In the Oprah interview, both of them sharply criticized the media in Great Britain and complained that they had no respect for their privacy. But if Meghan and Harry really care about their privacy, why are they always looking for the big stage? Why are you signing a deal with Netflix, Spotify and Penguin Random House? Soon Prince Harry will also publish his memoirs and one thing is as certain as the Amen in the church: Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan do not want to lead a secluded life away from the public eye.
