Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan recently published a video with their Archewell Foundation. However, a royal expert is certain that this is simply a diversionary tactic.
Accompanied by an emotional video, Prince Harry, 39, and Duchess Meghan, 42, released this year’s impact report from their Archewell Foundation. The one-minute clip highlights the most important events of the year for her foundation. Radiant people, warm hugs, intense conversations and the Sussexes right in the middle of it all. But is there any calculation behind this?
The “worst year” lies behind Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan
According to showbiz and royal expert Kinsey Schofield, 38, the video showing the couple’s charity work is an attempt to distract from Meghan and Harry’s bad year. “This has probably been the worst year professionally for the Sussexes – I don’t know if you know this, but the Hollywood Reporter, which is basically the Bible here in Los Angeles, has the Sussexes among the biggest losers because of their professional failures Hollywood in 2023,” explains Schofield.
Last week, the US magazine “Hollywood Reporter” named Harry and Meghan among the “biggest losers” in Hollywood in an article about the biggest winners and losers in showbiz. The influential magazine also described Harry’s biography, Spare, as “whiny” and the couple’s brand as a “hypocritical bubble just waiting to burst.” In addition to the “Southpark” parody, the abrupt end of her Spotify contract was also highlighted.
Video as a diversionary tactic?
This strong criticism must not have left its mark on the royal emigrants. “The Sussexes are trying to distract from a lot of professional failures,” speculates Kinsey Schofield in an interview with the British broadcaster “TalkTV”. He continued: “I think they’re also trying to distract from the positive vibes we’re seeing around the Royal Family and the Family of Wales – Christmas is their time to shine and I think there’s a small one hostility.”
The former “Suits” actress and the royal son published the video just a few hours after the Waleses also shared one on their official Instagram channel. It shows Catherine, Princess of Wales, 41, and her children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, helping in a baby bank.
