Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan manage to remain on everyone’s lips even years after their exit as high-ranking members of the British royal family. However, they were not seen at Elton John’s Oscar party. A royal expert concludes that they are “nobodies” in Hollywood.

Last weekend was all about the 95th Academy Awards. Everyone who has rank and name in Hollywood met either at the award ceremony or at the legendary parties around it. This also includes the event hosted by Sir Elton John, 75, to which he invites high-ranking guests and friends every year. However, there was no trace of Prince Harry, 38, and Duchess Meghan, 41.

The couple and the music legend are considered good friends. Elton John has known Harry since childhood and was good friends with his mother, the late Princess Diana, † 36. As well as singing at her funeral service, he also performed at Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018 at Windsor Castle.

The fact that the Sussexes may not have found an invitation to his Oscar party in the mailbox may be due to the fact that Prince Harry in his memoirs “Spare” (German title “Reserve”) reports in detail about an argument with the artist that took place in his holiday home supposed to have happened in southern France.

Tom Bower: “They really are nobodies in Hollywood”

Meanwhile, Tom Bower, royal pundit and author of Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Winsors, sees Harry and Meghan’s absence from the party as a clear sign of the Sussexes’ insignificance in Hollywood. “They weren’t even invited to Elton John’s party at the Oscars. They really are nobodies in Hollywood,” he fumes in an interview with “GB News” and admits: “But somehow King Charles will be in London at the most important event of his make someone out of life.”

The monarch, who will celebrate his coronation in London’s Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023, is not decisive, criticizes Bower and warns: “He will undermine the status of the monarchy in Great Britain if he is not very careful.” Unlike Elton John’s Oscar party, Harry and Meghan were invited to this historic event, as they recently confirmed. However, their commitment is still pending, they say. The couple are considering how best to “promote themselves,” Bower said.

“They don’t have to come. If you put them behind a pillar in row 54, they won’t come. And that’s exactly what should happen,” says the expert. But there are a number of other reasons the Sussexes could be missing the celebrations, including concerns for their safety after being evicted from Frogmore Cottage and son Archie’s 5th birthday, which falls on the same day.
