Prince Harry has announced the venue for the 2025 Invictus Games. And it has a very special meaning for him and Duchess Meghan.
Prince Harry, 37, announced the venue for 2025 at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games on Friday in The Hague. While the sixth games are scheduled to take place in Düsseldorf from September 9th to 16th next year, 2025 will see them return to North America.

“As the Invictus Games has continued to adapt and evolve, I am delighted to announce that the Invictus Games Foundation has chosen Canada to host the first-ever Winter Hybrid Games in 2025,” Prince Harry said in a statement on Friday , April 22, 2022. The competition will therefore be held near Whistler and Vancouver.

Canada is of great importance to Prince Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan, 40. In 2017 the third Invictus Games took place in Toronto. Harry and Meghan celebrated their first official appearance as a couple there. They also spent a family holiday in Vancouver with their son Archie, 2, before stepping down as senior members of the British royal family in 2020. It also keeps the family closer to their adopted home of California.
