After the sudden end of their million-dollar deal with Spotify, Prince Harry, 38, and Duchess Meghan, 41, have to rely entirely on their collaboration with Netflix. It is said that both the Duke of Sussex and his wife already have big projects planned for the streaming giant. But life throws a spanner in the works for them once again.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have to be patient

As an insider close to the couple told The Telegraph, their planned projects are proving “difficult” due to the writers’ strike in Hollywood. More than 11,500 members of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) are currently on strike. Among other things, they demand a higher minimum fee, more authors per program and less exclusivity for individual projects. The strike has already brought several productions and industry events to a standstill in recent weeks.

Now he could also be Harry and Meghan’s undoing. Because while the 41-year-old is currently working on a prequel to the novel adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations”, Harry is said to have a documentary about his favorite country Africa in the pipeline.

Harry and Meghan have to deliver

The air is getting thinner and thinner for the Sussexes, who have signed a multi-million dollar deal with the streaming service. Her six-part documentary series “Harry & Meghan” was released there last December, which dealt with her life before and after her departure as a senior member of the British royal family. Since then, they’ve only completed one other documentary, titled Live to Lead, which focuses on inspirational leaders. In addition, a film about the “Invictus Games” that Prince Harry himself created in 2014 is still expected.
