Prince Harry compared his life in the focus of millions of people to the movie “The Truman Show”. In the USA he feels freer.

Prince Harry (36) has in one Podcast interview with the US actor Dax Shepard (46) compared his life as a royal with the film “The Truman Show”. He also felt like an animal in the zoo. Private matters were immediately spread in the press, explains Harry. So did the beginning of his relationship with Duchess Meghan (39). That bothered him.

In order to keep their meetings secret, they even went so far as to meet “incognito” in a supermarket while Meghan was visiting London. They pretended not to know each other: “I was wearing a baseball cap, staring down the whole time and trying to go undetected,” said Harry. The two of them communicated via cell phone and sent messages to each other from different parts of the supermarket.

“Just look what it did to my mother”

Early in his 20s, Harry asked himself whether the royal life was right for him: “I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to do this job. Just look what it did to my mother. How should I? ever settle down, have a wife and a family when I know it’s going to happen again? “continued Harry. After meeting Meghan, he went into therapy that helped him get his life back on track.

Harry and Meghan resigned as working members of the royal family last spring and moved to California with son Archie, 2. He could lead a freer life near Los Angeles: “You can walk around here and feel a little freer. I can ride my bike with Archie. [In England] I would never have had a chance to do that, “Harry is sure.
