Prince Harry is actively taking action against misinformation on the Internet. He has recently been working as a commissioner on a study in the USA.

Prince Harry (36) is concerned about the “avalanche of misinformation” that he believes would roll over the net. Therefore, the former senior royal is now active. In his adopted home, the USA, he joined the Aspen Institute as a new commissioner in order to develop feasible solutions and recommendations against fake news on the Internet in a six-month study.

Clear thinking no longer possible?

“As I said earlier, in today’s digital world we are overwhelmed by an avalanche of misinformation that affects our ability as individuals and as a society to think clearly and really understand the world we live in,” she said it in a statement from the 36-year-old. He is convinced “that this is a humanitarian problem”.

In order to be able to counteract this, “a response from many interest groups” is necessary, “both from advocates, media representatives, academic researchers and government representatives as well as from representatives of civil society”. The commission will meet from April and hold a large number of discussions with experts, is explained in a message from the Aspen Institute. Prince Harry is already “looking forward to joining this new Aspen Commission” and looking forward to “working on a solution-oriented approach to the information disruption crisis.”
