Prince Harry’s (39) next visit to Great Britain is in May – he is traveling to his old homeland for the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games. Apparently there is also another “short and formal” meeting with his father, King Charles III. (75) planned. That reports the British “Mirror”.

Could there also be a meeting with Prince William?

After King Charles made his own cancer diagnosis public in February, Prince Harry had already flown to Great Britain for a day and met briefly with his father. “It won’t be quite as difficult for Harry to see his father, although this relationship is also fraught with pain and a sense of hurt,” the newspaper quoted royal expert Tom Quinn as saying. However, Charles is more lenient in dealing with his youngest son than his brother, Prince William (41).

Harry is also said to be aiming for a meeting with him and his wife, Princess Kate (42), to support his family after Kate’s cancer diagnosis. According to Quinn, such a meeting would only last for a “short period of time” so that the two brothers could “avoid any difficult conversations.” According to the royal expert, a meeting between Charles and both sons is also possible.

Meeting will be “short and formal” – for this reason

No matter what form Harry’s meeting with his family members would take, Quinn is certain: “It will be short and formal because any difficult conversation could result in its contents being leaked to the public when Harry returns to the United States .”

Harry’s memoirs “Reserve” and numerous interviews have seriously damaged trust in the royal: “Both William and Charles will always be worried that they cannot say anything private and unofficial to Harry without running the risk that he will tell everyone about it public.”

The “Daily Mail” also reportedthat William and Kate want to put their full effort into recovery and their three children. The “Harry problem” is therefore pushed into the background and there are no plans for reconciliation.

Is Meghan accompanying Harry to the UK?

According to media reports, when Harry travels to Great Britain in May, the program will include a service in St Paul’s Cathedral in London to mark the anniversary of the Invictus Games. It is unlikely that his wife, Duchess Meghan (42), or the couple’s two children will accompany him.

The main reason is likely to be the lack of police protection for the Duke of Sussex and his family in the United Kingdom: The Royal had sued the Home Office’s decision to require police protection during his home visits and lost the legal dispute at the end of February – a process that cost British taxpayers more said to have cost more than half a million British pounds, as the Telegraph reports.

According to this, the process has so far cost the state 514,128 pounds (around 600,000 euros). This amount could rise again: Harry and his lawyers had announced that they would appeal the High Court’s decision.
