Prince Harry: Royal makes Netflix debut in new documentary

On August 26th, "Rising Phoenix" will be a new documentary about the Paralympic Games. Prince Harry will also be seen.

The streaming giant Netflix has announced that on August 26th, a documentary about the Paralympic Games will be released with "Rising Phoenix". In addition to the history of the Paralympics, the documentary also focuses on athletes from different countries. The first trailer shows that Prince Harry (35) will also have his say. There is nothing that can bring you back from a gloomy situation like sport, he explains in the roughly two-minute clip.

The Royal was proud to be "one of the people who contributed to this film," quoted the US magazine "People" from a statement by a spokesman for Prince Harry. "Rising Phoenix" is "a unique and powerful documentary that hopes to change the way people perceive disabilities".

Prince Harry has supported the Invictus Games for years

Harry has been campaigning for war-disabled soldiers for several years. Among other things, the Royal co-initiated the Invictus Games, which were first held in 2014. The Paralympic sporting event should actually have taken place for the fifth time in May 2020, but the event had to be canceled due to the Corona crisis. It was recently announced that the Invictus Games will instead be held in The Hague, the Netherlands, from May 29th to June 5th, 2021. In 2023 the games will come to Germany for the first time and take place in Düsseldorf.
