Prince Philip is no longer in the hospital. Queen Elizabeth II's husband was able to leave the clinic on foot after about a month.

Prince Philip (99) was able to leave King Edward VII's Hospital in London. As numerous pictures in the tabloid "The Sun" show, the Prince Consort of Queen Elizabeth II initially left the clinic on foot and then got into a waiting BMW on his own. In total, Prince Philip spent around four weeks in the hospital. He had heart surgery and was treated for an infection.

It is unclear where Prince Philip went with his employees. Maybe he went straight back to Windsor Castle so he could be with his wife again. However, other reports speak of a rehab clinic that Prince Philip still has to go to in order to fully recover. On February 16, news made the rounds that Prince Philip, who will celebrate his 100th birthday in June, had been admitted to a clinic in central London.

Heart problems for many years

His personal doctor sent him after he felt uncomfortable. Two weeks later he was driven by ambulance to another clinic, where he had a heart operation on March 3. It was an already known problem at the heart that could be fixed, it said in a statement.

Back in 2011, Prince Philip was rushed to hospital by helicopter after complaining of a sting in the chest. A clogged coronary artery was diagnosed at Papworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire and a stent was also used to correct it.
