During his stay in Scotland, Prince William also took a seat behind the wheel of an electric rally car.

Prince William (38) showed on the Knockhill Racing Circuit that he apparently also has what it takes to be a racing driver. During his stay in Scotland, the 38-year-old raced across the track in an “Odyssey 21”, the vehicles from the “Extreme E” racing series. A short clip shows how hard William pressed the accelerator, published by the Royal on Instagram.

And how much fun the prince had with it, he let those present know with beaming eyes: “That was fantastic.” According to an Instagram post On the profile of the racing series, William apparently also asked whether everyone had seen how far he had flown the vehicle at one point.

“Looks like our future king is a born racing driver,” said one of the comments. William is currently second in line to the British throne behind his father, Prince Charles (72). Meanwhile, other users are just happy to see the 38-year-old “happy, relaxed and smiling”.

Earlier, Prince William had stated in a speech that he associates Scotland with his saddest but also some of his most beautiful memories. There he learned of the death of his mother, Princess Diana (1961-1997), but also got to know his future wife, Duchess Kate (39). The country will “always have a special place in my heart”.
