With a tense expression, Prince William is on his way to Catherine, Princess of Wales. It is the third day in a row that he has visited his wife in the hospital.

In a black electric Audi makes his way Prince William, 41, in the heart of London on his way to his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42. She has been in the London Clinic since Tuesday, January 16, 2024, having undergone a “planned abdominal operation”, according to Kensington Palace announced in a press release a day later. Since then, William has been waking up at her bedside every day – including today. He was caught by the cameras for the first time.

Prince William is also there for his wife Catherine on the third day

The press spread out in front of the London Clinic and around the city on the way there. When Prince William appears in his black car surrounded by security personnel on Thursday afternoon, January 18th, the cameras are trained on him.

His look looks serious, maybe even a little tense. It would be understandable if the heir to the British throne is currently exposed to a double burden: looking after Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, as well as the care and support of his wife Catherine. According to British media reports, their children are now going about their everyday school life and everything should be as normal as possible for them during this time.

Kate’s operation had nothing to do with cancer

On January 17, Kensington Palace announced in a press release that Catherine, Princess of Wales, had been “admitted to the London hospital for planned abdominal surgery.” She should spend “ten to fourteen days” in the hospital and then “continue her recovery” at home.

The palace is keeping to itself the reasons why Kate had to undergo surgery, but initially explains: “According to current medical knowledge, it is unlikely that she will be able to return to public before Easter.” A short time later it was confirmed that the procedure had nothing to do with cancer.
