Despite her young age, Princess Alexia has a keen sense of fashion. However, three details stand out in particular.

Princess Alexia of the Netherlands, 18, the second daughter of King Willem-Alexander, 56, and Queen Máxima, 52, recently celebrated her majority. However, it is not only since then that the Dutch woman has come into the public eye for her chosen and exciting outfits. Even before that, she was inspiring with her contemporary style of clothing, which hovers between classic etiquette and youthfulness. Her youthful charm as well as her natural elegance inspire not only young people worldwide. You can learn three lessons from the princess.

Princess Alexia: 1. The color green

It is the color of hope, but it also symbolizes harmony and balance. No wonder Princess Alexia loves wearing the intense color. The bright green catches the eye and ensures a fashionable presence as well as freshness. In particular, classic silhouettes such as double-breasted suits, blazers or A-line dresses are brought into the here and now.

2. Formal Elegance

It doesn’t always have to be sophisticated to get noticed. Alexia, who likes to present herself in formal business chic, knows that. While she put on a chic shirt for her birthday portrait, she also showed herself in the supposed office ensemble in the past. The timeless silhouettes look professional, have a structured, slightly oversized fit (keyword: blazer!) that flatters the body. Queen Máxima’s daughter also chooses neutral and muted colors such as black, grey, cream or beige.

3. Graphic patterns

Have courage, patterns make you happy! Especially if they are graphic. While a dense floral print likes to appear playful and romantic, the graphic version is different. The artificial flowers stretch across the fabric in a large pattern! That looks exciting — placed in a disorderly manner, almost unpredictably. Princess Alexia uses the modern effect of the abstract pattern: Whether splatter, swirl pattern or stripes and dots, the silhouettes are diverse.
