In 2022, Princess Anne, 72, was again voted hardest-working royal, completing the most appointments. However, she was the only one missing from the traditional walk with the British royal family in Sandringham. But why?

There were a few surprises and firsts on the way to Christmas Mass in St. Mary Magdalene Church on December 25: It was the first celebration without Queen Elizbaeth, †96, and for King Charles, 74, as royal head and for Prince Louis, 4, who enchanted everyone. The disgraced Prince Andrew, 62, turned up anyway and his daughter Princess Beatrice, 34, even brought her stepson Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf. And then one important person was missing: Princess Anne. She did not appear alongside her children Zara Tindall, 41, and Peter Phillips, 45, and their families.

The British “Hello!” magazine assumes that the daughter of the late monarch allegedly had a cold and was therefore unable to attend. Any other explanation for the otherwise reliable princess just wouldn’t fit.
