From 2015 to 2018, Dara Huang, 41, was in a relationship and even engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 40, husband of Princess Beatrice, 35. Their relationship has son Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf, 8, who now has a half-sister: Sienna, 2. What is it like growing up with such a famous royal stepmother? And how well does patchwork family life actually work? The Florida-born architect revealed this for the first time in an interview with the British edition of the fashion magazine “Harper’s Bazaar”.

Princess Beatrice: Her husband’s ex raves about patchwork family life

Although they have been separated for six years, Dara Huang is still close to her ex Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Their child Wolfie, who recently celebrated his eighth birthday, connects the two.

The entrepreneur, who lives in Chelsea, is happy that her son has “two sets of parents who are trying to help him on both sides,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. She only says positive things about the blended family life with Edo and Princess Beatrice. She believes: “The more the merrier,” adding: “I’m lucky to have such positive people around him who really embrace him – because it didn’t have to be that easy.

“That makes no sense”

The well-being of her son has always been her top priority since the separation from Princess Beatrice’s husband, whom she married in 2021. Dara Huang “doesn’t understand people who get divorced and then keep their children as collateral; that makes no sense.”

For her, “everything is a question of point of view. […] It’s about creating a “happy home and a happy lifestyle” – for their child. And Dara, Edoardo and stepmother Beatrice manage to do that.
