Around two weeks after the birth, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi announced the name of their daughter.

On September 18, Princess Beatrice (33) became a mother for the first time. Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter (95) gave birth to a daughter. Now her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (38) has announced the name of the little one: Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi. The proud father wrote a picture on Instagram with two small footprints and the date of birth: “Our life together has only just begun and I’m looking forward to all the wonderful things that await us.”

“I feel so much love and gratitude for my wonderful wife, baby Sienna and Wolfie,” enthuses Mapelli Mozzi. “I will never forget these days.” Mapelli Mozzi already has a son, Christopher “Wolfie” (5), from a previous relationship. Sienna is Beatrice’s first child.

It follows a tradition

With the middle name “Elizabeth”, Princess Beatrice follows a tradition. Three more of Queen Elizabeth II’s twelve great-grandchildren now have the monarch’s first name as their middle name: Isla (9), daughter of Peter (43) and Autumn Phillips (43), Princess Charlotte (5), daughter of Prince William ( 39) and Duchess Kate (39) and Lena (3), daughter of Zara (40) and Mike Tindall (42). Duchess Meghan (40) and Prince Harry (37) went a different way and gave their daughter Lilibet as their first name. The Queen is called Lilibet by her closest family.
