Princess Charlotte follows in the footsteps of her brother Prince Louis: she visits the Commonwealth Games alongside her parents Prince William and Duchess Catherine – and puts on a grandiose grimace show.

It’s no secret that Princess Charlotte, 7, is passionate about sports. On August 2, 2022, she was allowed to visit the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, together with her father, Prince William, 40, and her mother, Duchess Catherine, 40.

In the Sandwell Aquatics Center on the Grandstand Square, the swimming competitions became almost a minor matter. Like her brother Prince Louis, 4, at this year’s platinum throne jubilee of Queen Elizabeth, 96, Charlotte also showed what her facial features are capable of while cheering on the athletes.

Princess Charlotte: First appearance without one of her brothers remains unforgotten

The seven-year-old followed the competition with obvious excitement. She clapped her hands, gasped – and even stuck out her tongue. It is the first time Princess Charlotte has attended an official event with her parents without either of her brothers, Prince George, 9, or Prince Louis.

The Commonwealth Games last until August 8th. 4,600 athletes from a total of 72 nations and countries take part in the games, which take place every four years. Prince Charles, 73, and Duchess Camilla, 75, opened the Commonwealth Games for the first time this year. So far, Queen Elizabeth had taken on the task.

Charlotte is interested in sports

Just a few days ago, she proved that the princess has a fondness for sports. Along with her father Prince William, the seven-year-old posted a video message on Instagram targeting the England women’s national football team. The two wished the players good luck for the European Championship final. The team won the final against Germany 2-1 in extra time on 31 July.
