Princess Ingrid Alexandra turned 18 on January 21, 2022, but was unable to celebrate her day of honor due to the corona pandemic. That should now be made up for, among other things with a gala dinner to which the European aristocracy is also invited. Just in time for the big glamor event, the court publishes new portraits of the young princess, which celebrate the next milestone in Ingrid Alexandra’s life. For the first time she is allowed to wear one of the valuable diamond tiaras, the so-called “Boucheron Pearl Circle Tiara”. The diadem belonged to her great-grandmother, Princess Ingeborg, and was given to Ingrid Alexandra by her relatives as a present for her 18th birthday. The diadem is intended to reflect the connection between the Scandinavian royal houses: Ingeborg came from Denmark, became a Swedish princess through marriage and is the maternal grandmother of King Harald of Norway, 85.

Although of course the noble jewelry on the head of the 18-year-old is the highlight of the picture, the choice of clothes also shows that the daughter of Princess Mette-Marit, 48, and Prince Haakon, 48, already knows a lot about the royal fashion protocol . Someone grew up there! The daughter of Princess Claire, 37, and Prince Félix, 38, of Luxembourg turns eight today and Princess Amalia fans can look forward to two sweet new pictures. Duchess Meghan surprises non-profit organization in Amsterdam
