Did Catherine, Princess of Wales have to be put into a coma after her operation? A palace insider dismisses the rumors as “complete nonsense.”

How is Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, after her abdominal surgery really? After rumors suddenly arose that the wife of heir to the throne Prince William, 41, had even been put into an artificial coma due to serious complications, an insider from palace circles has now spoken out. There was previously talk in the Spanish media that Kate was supposedly “in great danger” after the operation.

As the usually well-informed British “The Times” reports, a source from the palace has now said that the Spanish reports are “complete nonsense.” A journalist who started the speculation on the news program “Fiesta” said her story was “completely made up” and there were no attempts to verify the alleged information on site. The insider deliberately wanted to “express himself politely”, but the reports were not true.

Princess Kate is no longer in the hospital

The fact is that Kensington Palace announced on January 17, 2024 that Kate had undergone “planned abdominal surgery” the day before. The exact diagnosis was kept secret, but the procedure was said to be successful. After the first rumors about alleged cancer emerged in the British yellow press, the royals added on the same day that Kate’s suffering was not cancer.

After 13 days in the London clinic, Kate returned to Windsor on Monday where she will continue her recovery. She is not expected to return to the public until after Easter. Her husband Prince William also postponed numerous appointments in order to look after his wife and their three children during their recovery.
