Although Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine grew up together, they seem to have very different personalities. Her former private teacher spills exciting details about baby Madeleine.
Princess Madeleine: “She thought she knew everything”
Herman Lindqvist now works as a columnist and historian, but once taught history to Princess Victoria, 46, Prince Carl Philip, 44, and Princess Madeleine as a private tutor for several years. “All three of them are very different people,” he explains in an interview with Aftonbladet.
The youngest of the three siblings in particular seems to have left a lasting impression on Lindqvist – but not necessarily the best one. “I should also look after Madeleine. She came three times, then she thought she knew everything,” reveals the royal family expert.

The three of them grew up under the same roof at Drottningholm Castle, but even as children they had completely different paths in life ahead of them. Since she was a child, Victoria has been prepared to one day be Queen of Sweden. She was taught by Herman Lindqvist for three years. With her younger siblings, the reins were loosened a little.

Nevertheless, today all three royal children are of course responsible representatives of the Swedish monarchy. In 2019, editor-in-chief Louise Bratt Tidmarsh conducted an interview with Madeleine for “Mama” magazine and got to know her personally. “She was kind and professional. And sensitive! And she laughed often,” the editor later told Svensk Dam, adding: “She is also incredibly committed, both to her own children and to the issues that affect childhood regarding.”
