Embarrassing faux pas during an important appearance with mom Silvia

Princess Madeleine traveled from Florida to New York to campaign against violence against children together with her mother. Her passion project, which, however, was to begin with an unpleasant affront.
A reunion with an important background: Princess Madeleine, 41, and Queen Silvia, 79, met in New York on Monday, October 16, 2023, to meet together to take part in a meeting with the UN special envoy on violence against children and the “World Childhood Foundation” founded by Silvia at the United Nations headquarters.
Princess Madeleine or Princess Madelene?
While the Swedish queen also gave a meaningful speech, her youngest daughter sat in the front row and listened intently. However, the 41-year-old did not let on that there was an embarrassing mix-up at this appointment. The reason: On the sign in front of Princess Madeleine it said “PRINCESS MADELENE” in blue capital letters – an unpleasant faux pas, since the mother of three is called Madeleine and not Madelene. The fact that no one noticed this typo beforehand raises questions.

Madeleine doesn’t let herself get carried away
Princess Madeleine still carried out her program professionally and met on the evening of October 16th together with her mother Silvia and her husband Chris O’Neill, 49, pictured at the World Childhood Foundation gala at 583 Park Avenue. Dressed in an elegant dark blue evening gown, she smiled into the camera and didn’t let the affront a few hours earlier dampen her good mood. After all, the royal is aware of how important events of this kind are for her mother. “Mom put so much heart and love into it and fought for these issues for such an incredibly long time. Childhood means a lot, a lot, a lot to me. I know that at some point my mother said, ‘This is my fourth child’“the princess once said Queen Silvia Foundation, of which she is honorary deputy president.
