What a nice occasion to celebrate with the family again. As “Svensk Damtidning” reports exclusively, Prince Daniel’s cousin Sara gave her fiancé the yes word at the weekend. And the Swedish crown prince couple was there too. Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel celebrated amidst the family.
Princess Victoria, 45, and Prince Daniel, 49, had a particularly nice event in their schedule on Saturday, June 17, 2023. The wedding of Sara Westling, Prince Daniel’s cousin, and her fiancé Jesper was celebrated with the Westling family. Daniel’s parents Ewa and Olle Westling were there too.
Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel surprise everyone at their family wedding
The celebration took place in the church “Borgs Kyrka” just outside of Norrköping. The wedding couple have a special connection to the area, reported a guest of the Swedish newspaper. 80 guests had gathered to see Sara and Jesper getting married, including Victoria and Daniel as well as the Swedish ice hockey player Victor Söderstromm, who posted a beautiful photo of the wedding on his Instagram account.
Among other things, “Take My Breath Away” was played in the church, sung by Eva Cassidy, to the sounds of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” the newly married couple left the church, writes “Svensk Damtidning”. It was apparently not clear to the guests beforehand that the Swedish crown prince couple would be present. “It was a very nice surprise,” Father Fredrik Weflö told Swedish magazine.
Victoria chose a summer floral dress
For the beautiful occasion, the Swedish Crown Princess chose a flounce dress with a floral pattern and a black waist belt by Giambattista Valli, Daniel wore a midnight blue tuxedo and bow tie. The bride stepped in front of the altar in a tight-fitting silk dress that ended at the bottom. Special highlight: the short sleeves made of lace and a long veil. “Svensk Damtidning” also shows pictures of the event online.
