If you only occasionally want to print a few pages at home, an inexpensive inkjet printer is recommended. With its WorkForce Pro WF-4830DTWF model, Epson has a real price tip in its range. You have to invest around 220 euros in the purchase.

In the test, the device was able to score plus points in many categories: The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4830DTWF shines with a very brisk speed and excellent text printing – especially in black and white. The technical equipment gets the top grade of 1.0: The Internet connection via WLAN or wired Ethernet (LAN), the integration of Wi-Fi Direct and AirPrint as well as the beautiful 10.9 centimeter touch display made a positive impression in the test.

What we didn’t like was the print quality of the graphics: imprecise results, which also made small fonts illegible in some cases. There are also deductions for the high printing costs in the long run – so the inkjet printer is really only worthwhile for occasional users.

Our conclusion at the time of testing:

“The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4830DTWF was particularly convincing in the test with its high-quality text printing, high printing speed and the very fair purchase price of less than 200 euros. With the Internet connection via WLAN or LAN, the integration of Wi-Fi Direct and AirPrint as well as the beautiful touch display, the technical equipment is also pleasing. However, the inkjet printer is far less competent, especially with graphics, and can become quite expensive in the long run due to high printing costs. This is where occasional users in particular are addressed.”
