In the 2nd quarter of 2023, the number of private sector employees in France would stand at 21,164,200, according to the flash estimate from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (Insee) published at 8:45 a.m. It should thus increase by 0.1% (i.e. +19,700.0 jobs) compared to the previous quarter (21,144,500 employees).
Over one year, salaried employment in the private sector should increase by 1.2% (ie +249,400 employees).
What you need to know about this indicator: the flash estimate of salaried employment only covers the private sector. It is available less than 45 days after the end of the quarter in question, while the detailed employment results for the private and public sectors are published around 70 days later.
