Vannes created the feat at the Pré Fleuri by winning with a score of 20-17 against Nevers in a Pro D2 play-off. The Vannetais thus qualify for the last four for the third time in their history (after 2019 and 2021). They will challenge Oyonnax in the semi-finals on Saturday May 20 at 3 p.m.

Little surprise in the Pro D2 play-offs. Vannes went to win on the lawn of Nevers 20 to 17, Thursday during the first accession barrage in the Top 14 and will face Oyonnax, big favorite for the title, in the semi-final on May 20. Burgundians and Bretons, new strongholds in the antechamber of the elite, surrendered blow for blow during this first barrage, undecided until the end.

It was thanks to a penalty converted by Vannes opener Maxime Lafage in the 67th minute that the visitors finally validated their ticket for the second division semi-finals.

Second dam

The second barrage will oppose Mont-de-Marsan and Agen on Friday at 9 p.m., two more traditional bastions of French rugby. The winner of the match will face Grenoble in the second semi-final.
