Product recall: batches of smoked duck breast present a risk of listeriosis


This concerns lots sold under the Le Clos Saint-Sozy and Maitres Occitans brands, but also lots sold without a brand, especially in butcher shops.

Lots of smoked duck breasts are being recalled throughout France. These are lots sold under the Le Clos Saint-Sozy and Maitres Occitans brands, but also lots sold without a brand, especially in butcher shops.

The reason: these present a risk of contamination with listeriosis. It is a serious disease, especially in pregnant women and newborns, as well as in immunocompromised or elderly people. As the incubation time can be up to 28 days, it is imperative to consult a doctor if you have consumed this product within the past month, even if there are no symptoms.

With regard to the Maitres Occitans brand, the GTINs (code that appears next to the barcode on the product packaging) concerned are 3443705058629 and 3443704408197. These lots were sold in particular in many large retail chains such as Auchan, Carrefour, Leclerc, Système U, Casino … As well as in certain Metro stores. Find here the exact list of stores concerned.

For the Le Clos Saint-Sozy brand, these are GITN 3443705002400, 3443705062176, 3443705024150, 3443704408067 and 3443705002264. The lots were sold in Fresh stores and at several wholesalers.

Finally, for lots sold without a brand, the GTINs concerned are 3443704408005 and 3443704408227.

The brands leave until January 3, 2022 to return the product, which will be subject to a refund.
