In addition toAssassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Rainbow Six Mobile, Skull and Bones, The Crew Motorfest And The Division Resurgence, Ubisoft officially has another unannounced project on its schedule to be released before the end of March 2024. According to Kotakuit would not be a second-rate video game, but the project Star Wars announced by Mass Entertainment in 2021.
Two sources have indeed told journalist Ethan Gach and his colleagues that theopen world, whose code name would be Project Helixwould currently aim to be rolled out in the current fiscal year. They also clarified thatit would include interplanetary space travel and that its development would have been complicated, but that hopes would be high in Ubisoftwho would hope to make it his first real hit out of Assassin’s Creed for a few years.
The sources believe, however, that the objective of a release with March 2024 would be too ambitious and expect a postponement to the following financial year, for an exit which would rather take place between April 2024 and March 2025. Knowing that Mass Entertainment must already finalize the production ofAvatar: Frontiers of Pandora and given the history ofUbisoft with the reports, it would be difficult not to believe them… Contacted by Kotaku, Ubisoft obviously did not comment on the case.
Therefore the Project Helix will it see the light of day in early 2024 or in the months that follow? No one knows for the moment, a priori even on the side of the creators, but we can still hope that it will be revealed during theUbisoft Forward of June 12.
