Project realized – fire departments were the first to feel climate change

PV system at the fire department association is being expanded. Kelag and the Florianijünger have a long-standing partnership.

“We don’t just focus on solar energy and electromobility during operations – we use photovoltaics ourselves,” emphasizes state fire brigade commander Rudolf Robin. “We are therefore expanding our system on the roofs.” The project is being implemented by Kelag Energie &wärme. Investments “We are investing almost 250,000 euros and leasing the system to the fire department,” explains Adolf Melcher. “This means that the fire department is almost energy self-sufficient in terms of balance sheet. The topic fits well – they were the first to feel climate change through the missions.” Robin confirms the increase in the number of missions. There is a long partnership with Kelag. “Many of our employees are firefighters themselves,” says board member Reinhard Draxler.
