Since a few weeks, Project Zomboid has some success, although the first version of the game was released in 2011. However, thanks to Build 41, in particular, tens of thousands of players have tried the experience of this survival game and have been won over. Naturally, with this strong interest, The Indie Stone wanted to give an overview of what the community will soon be able to discover. And the good news is that the demand to implant NPCs will be effective, since the developers do intend to add them.
However, as explained in a post on Steam, it can take some time given that all the details around the NPCs have not been decided yet. The studio therefore wants to take its time, which is why a team will focus ” on a faster, less risky, but still super cool content patch, before the NPC work is done “.
Regarding these NPCs in question, we could be dealing with NPCs ” standalone that the player can group together with, it could be mainly the re-introduction of the story mode, there could be NPC animals », The Indie Stone does not close any doors for the moment. It is specified that a multitude of codes and cool ideas are recorded, but that everything needs time to be introduced and functional.
In the longer term, once the NPCs are introduced, the developers want to improve several points of Project Zomboid, such as crafting, end-game content, giving the possibility to create communities for those who do not want to start a game again, or to bring a deeper story.
No release date has been given for the first update, but we should have more information soon enough. What is certain is that updates, whether for content or to correct certain points, are not going to stop anytime soon. In the meantime, we recall that Project Zomboid remains available in Early Access on Steam.
