A property tax increasing by 52% in Paris, 25% in Grenoble, 9% in Lyon… This year, the vote on municipal budgets is likely to weigh heavily on the portfolio of owners. These budgets must imperatively be validated by the municipal councils before April 15th. As the deadline approaches, the bill already promises to be steep for taxpayers. On the one hand, at the national level, in October, the annual and systematic revaluation of the rental values which serve as the basis for calculating the property tax soared by nearly 7% due to galloping inflation, i.e. the strongest revaluation coefficient since 1986, according to the National Union of Property Owners (UNPI).
