PS VR 2: Sony plans to produce at least 2 million headsets by March 2023


Despite the shortage which has a strong impact on the various manufacturers, sony plans to launch its new virtual reality headset in early 2023. Mass production of the PSVR 2 started last month, and that’s why we see Sony talking more and more about its new toy in the media, even if it is sometimes for bad news, such as the fact that the games of the first PS VR will not be compatible with this new headset. Despite this information which will be enough to cool more than one, the manufacturer intends to sell whole pallets of its new accessory.

More PS5s from the start of 2023?

Bloomberg reports today that Sony hasn’t had any issues with the PS VR 2 production so far, allowing the manufacturer to aim high for the launch of the headset. According to the site’s sources, Sony reportedly looking to produce 2 million PS VR 2 headsets by March 2023.

It is also specified that the influx of PS5 should increase at the beginning of the yearwhich would make it easier for Sony to sell its new headphones.

For the moment, it is still unknown at what price this PS VR 2 will be launched, but with the increase in the price of the PS5, it is to be expected that the helmet will ask us for a small budget. In any case, everything suggests that the latter will be released at the very beginning of 2023, if Sony does not encounter supply problems by then.
