PUBG: Is a Switch release planned?

If the two biggest competitors of PUBG, namely Fortnite and Apex Legends have entered the Nintendo Switch market, this is not yet the case for PUBG, who never mentioned this platform. The developers do not seem, for the moment, inclined to wear their battle royale on Nintendo’s latest console, as Dave Curd, studio director of the game, indicated in an interview with our media in July 2020.

Will PUBG be released on Nintendo Switch?

Indeed, on the occasion of the release of season 8 in July 2020, we were able to address several topics, including a port on Nintendo Switch, a very popular console since its release in 2017. Unfortunately for the millions of portable console players, Krafton is not currently working on such a port, although the studio remains open to the possibility, a day.

While we are interested in making PUBG available to a wider audience, we are currently focusing on our existing platforms.

Knowing that the battle royale becomes free-to-play (January 2022), the new content may be slowed down in the months that follow. This could, perhaps, result in a release on Switch, if the developers consider that the version dedicated to the portable console is of quality. If such a port were to take place, the developers would announce it through a special event, during a conference, most likely.

While waiting for this potential announcement, we remind you that PUBG is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Series.
