PUBG Mobile: Krafton sues Apple, Google, YouTube and Garena

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, now renamed PUBG: Battlegrounds, is a Battle Royale which has met with great success, to the point of being available on mobiles with PUBG-Mobile. Again, the players were there, the title free-to-play of Krafton raises a lot of money, but a few clones overshadow him.

And that, Krafton can’t take it anymore, so he decided to attack google, Youtube and Apple in court, but above all Garena, mobile game developer Free Fire: Battlegrounds (now called Free Fire short) and Free Fire: Max, copies of PUBG-Mobile who do not even try to disturb the tracks. Krafton cited in his complaint the parachute jump mechanic completely plagiarized from his game, but also weapons, armor, objects, locations and textures directly borrowed from PUBG Mobile. Yes, the image above is from Free Fire, enough to make goat Krafton.

Obviously, the studio accuses Garena of copying and distributing elements of his game without his permission, claiming that the developer makes hundreds of millions of dollars from the games Free Fire, corn Krafton is also annoyed by Apple and google, which do nothing to remove these titles from theAppStore and Google Play Store, pocketing part of the loot generated by the Free Fire. Regarding Youtube, well, it’s the same fight, the video platform refuses to remove the videos from gameplay games of Garena. Youtube also leaves online excerpts and trailers of the film Biubiubiu, adapted from the franchise PUBG without the permission of Krafton.

The studio is therefore annoyed, and it takes an example from Ubisoft, who had also filed a complaint against google, Apple and E-joy, developer ofArea F2, a clone of Rainbow Six Siege. After several threats, Ubisoft took action, and E-joy had then quickly reacted by withdrawing his game from the shops, google and Apple not having lifted a finger. Krafton hope his complaint about the games Free Fire have the same result with Garena, business to follow. As a reminder, PUBG: Battlegrounds is also playable free-to-play on computers and consoles, you can find cards NHP to buy cosmetics on Amazon.
