Pulse Explore and Elite: the new PlayStation headphones and headset finally dated, their features touted in video

At the announcement of Project Q last May, which must now be called PlayStation Portal and whose release is planned in a fortnight, Sony Interactive Entertainment also unveiled headphones and a new wireless headset, both designed for gaming, the Pulse Elite and the Pulse Explore, whose prices are quite high. It was then said that we would have further details on the opening of pre-orders and the on-sale date later. We had to wait until Monday, October 30 to finally have news, with in passing a vibrant promotional video.

The functionalities of these accessories are therefore visually highlighted, which is no easy feat when it comes to audio. We are therefore entitled to exploded views of these headphones and headset to highlight the custom planar magnetic drivers they contain, then to gaming sequences on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Gran Turismo 7 And Destiny 2 to emphasize the fact that the sounds heard will form a very realistic and detailed soundscape with very little distortion and deep bass. The PS5’s 3D audio technology will also be compatible with games supporting it, as well as PlayStation Link to connect wirelessly without loss of quality. Strangely, the PlayStation Portal is absent subscribers…
