- One of these alleged palaces can also be found via Google Maps.
- Another is said to be right on the border with Finland.
The Russian opposition politician Navalny published an exposé video on YouTube in 2021 before his return to Russia. According to him, this shows a mega-villa of the incumbent President Vladimir Putin. We’ll show you how you can find and view “Putin’s Palace” (as Navalny calls the building) on Google Maps.
To do this, first go to the Google Maps website. There you can now discover the villa yourself in two ways: either by entering the coordinates for the corresponding region in Krasnodar or by simply following our direct link. However, there are no Street View or high-resolution images of the area.
You have to enter these coordinates
- Enter the name “Mys Idokopas” as the location in the navigation and confirm your entry.
- Or follow the direct link directly to Putin’s palace on Google Maps.
You can see several buildings and something like an adjacent small harbor. Everything is surrounded by forest and mountains all around. The building borders directly on the Black Sea and, according to Navalny, will house tennis courts, cinemas, theaters and many other luxury facilities.
YouTube video shows another property
By the way, the property on the Black Sea is not said to be Putin’s only luxury residence. A video published in January 2024 by the investigative medium Dossier Center on YouTube shows another property in the northwest of the country near the border with Finland. It will be four square kilometers in size and can only be reached by boat or helicopter. Google Maps coordinates for the property cannot yet be found online.
In addition to Putin’s palace, you can discover all sorts of other exciting places on Google Maps, such as the bachelor villa from the RTL dome show or the jungle camp in Australia.
