Pyromaniac fled – garbage cans on fire: bus drivers put out fires

On Tuesday night a garbage can burned again in the city of Salzburg – this time in the Alpenstrasse. Two bus drivers were able to put out the fire and provide descriptions of the alleged arsonists.

The two bus drivers Ranveer Govil and Nenad Kostic were on their way home around midnight when they noticed the flames. “I noticed that it was quite light at the bus stop and when I got there, I saw that a waste paper bin was on fire,” says Govil.

The duo did not hesitate long and stopped a passing trolleybus. They grabbed the bus fire extinguisher and put out the fire. The professional fire brigade also moved out.

The alleged arsonists were able to flee. However, Kostic noticed two young people who were hanging around the bus stop shortly before the fire. You are likely to be between 13 and 15 years old and have boarded a trolleybus after the fact.
