World Car Person of the Year
SangYup Lee, Chief Design Officer of Hyundai and Genesis, is World Car Person of the Year 2023. The jury recognized SangYup Lee as the creative mind behind the concept and production vehicles presented in 2022, including the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6, the new Kona and the N Vision 74, the presentation of which caused a stir last summer. Lee’s strong design philosophy, vision and leadership skills were instrumental in shaping Hyundai’s new design language, as the brand’s recent achievements would demonstrate. He is a driving force behind the brand’s commitment to creating iconic and emotional design.
