It was only a matter of time: the long-awaited reboot of Quantum Code is almost a reality. NBC has just ordered a pilot episode to follow up on the famous 1989 series.

The original duo of the science fiction series, however, should not be back.

Oh well done, NBC!

Rumored for a while, in a context where remakes and reboots are legion, it was only a matter of time before Quantum Code (QuantumLeap, in VO) is entitled to its return. NBC has therefore just ordered a pilot for a sequel/reboot of the 1989 cult show, with a new team, 30 years later.

Indeed, as the actor Dean Stockwell left us last November, it is not at all certain that Scott Bakula wishes to appear on the screen, although he had discussions with the channel.

For the youngest, remember that the latter embodied for 97 episodes and 5 seasons Dr. Samuel Beckett, a genius scientist traveling a little in spite of himself in time by jumping into the bodies of other people after having crossed his own temporal accelerator. In his mission to try to right the wrongs of the past, he is aided by Albert “Al” Calavicci, a military man who appears to him in the form of a hologram. The new team will use the machine again to understand its mysteries.

It was a very hard secret to keep. Glad our friends at NBC gave us the chance to bring this phenomenal show back and continue the story! Can’t wait for you to see what we have in store… »

30 years later…

For this new project, which will therefore take place in our time, Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt (La Brea) will be writing and producing, while executive producing Martin Gero (blind spot) will star alongside Don Bellisario and Deborah Pratt, who worked on the original series.
